HSE Engineer

Region: UK
Location: All over the UK based from home
Reporting To: HSE Manager

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all company and client Health, Safety & Environmental procedures are adhered to on company and client sites
  • Provide Health, Safety & Environmental advice to company personnel
  • Carry out internal QHSE auditing in accordance with relevant standards, specifications, policies and procedures
  • Development and implementation of Health, Safety & Environmental systems, processes and procedures
  • Collation and review of accident / incident reports for acceptable corrective actions, resolution of HSE problems and implementation of preventative measures
  • Review changes to Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and propose and implement necessary changes to the companies system.
  • Accident and Incident Investigation
  • Site Inspections
  • Chair weekly / monthly safety meetings

Education & Qualifications

  • ONC - Electrical Engineering
  • HNC - Electrical Engineering
  • Formal qualifications to degree level in Electrical Engineering related subject
  • NEBOSH qualification

Knowledge & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the Construction Industry
  • Minimum of 5 years as a HSE Engineer
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working for NGT or REC
  • T&D Product Knowledge
  • Knowledge of current H&S legislation and risk management processes
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • IT Literacy
